Despite acknowledging the fact that weapons are making our lives hollow, the blind race is still on. We endeavor to make the whole world weapon free, but it is impossible, perhaps the major weapon manufacturers like U.S. do no wishes so. Major arms exporting countries had to acknowledge their role in providing weapons to the poorest parts of the world.
Anyhow, it can’t be stopped but at least it can be controlled. The bill which is under the consideration of U.N. may improve the conditions. According to the discussed international arms trade treaty, the supply of weapons will be stopped to countries whose development is being hampered by arms spending. US - a major arms manufacturer - voted against the bill. The major weapons producing countries should try to understand the world as a whole need food and education more then weapons. All countries should support such a treaty as it offers the hope of a safer world.
If such a bill is imposed, only the arms producing countries will suffer which are very few in number but the maximum portion of world will be benefited. The organizations working for the welfare of humans seems to be quiet happy by this proposal, even the Human rights organization has welcomed the move.
Only these weapons are responsible for the evils of society. Only these weapons are responsible for making Osama terrorist from an engineer. None of countries are responsible for terrorism except the weapon producing countries. If there is the possibility of weapon free world then the days are not far when the peace will prevail on whole earth.
