Iranian foreign minister refused to meet Condoleezza Rice:

The countries attending the meeting include Iraq’s neighbors i.e. Iran and Syria, United States, United Nations and the European Union. However, the another goal of Baghdad to ease tensions between the United States and Iran proved futile as Manouchehr Mottaki, the foreign minister of Iran, refused to meet his U.S. counterpart Condoleezza Rice. Iran denied the U.S. accusations of supporting the terrorists and blamed Washington’s policies responsible for the bloodshed in Iraq. Iran also demanded the early withdrawal of U.S. troops from the Iraq.

Summit participants also agreed to support the Iraqi government in protecting the basic right of the citizens to participate peacefully in the political process through the country’s political system. An independent and united Iraq was the basis for the Iraqis to achieve security, stability and prosperity.

Reconciliation possible only through cooperation:

Finally, for the peace and stability in Iraq it is necessary to set benchmarks to achieve a stable, united and democratic Iraq. It is a praiseworthy achievement of the summit if implemented as committed by the Summit participants. Reconciliation for the Iraqis is only possible with some measures like international help including debt relief and particularly carrying out reforms aimed at giving Iraq’s Sunni Arabs a greater role in the political process.
